		<description>The demerara will fully dissolve without heat it just takes time.  Here is my usual method.  I keep all my syrups, etc in squeeze bottles so I mix the sugar and water in the bottle and shake.  Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes and repeat.  It usually takes 2 shakings to dissolve table sugar and about 5 - 6 to get the demerara fully dissolved.

You can definitely speed the process by heating the mixture.  As long as you don&#039;t over heat you shouldn&#039;t see any loss of flavor.</description>
